Restfull Nights appoints Graham Carberry as Sales Director

Liverpool-based bed manufacturer Restfull Nights is marking the end of lockdown with the appointment of new Sales Director Graham Carberry.

Specialising in the design, manufacture and installation of beds, mattresses, sofa beds and comfy chairs to the hotel and contract sector, Restfull Nights counts some of the biggest names in the hotel business among its clients and is looking forward to supporting the industry in its post Covid-19 recovery. Graham will steer the company’s sales and marketing efforts and will also lead on the launch of an exciting new product range later in this year.

Graham’s experience spans 32 years in the bed industry with the Silentnight Group, and has covered manufacturing, product development and sales; giving him unique industry insight which will prove invaluable in his new role. Managing Director, John Law, says:

“We’re delighted that Graham will be joining the Restfull Nights team. We have worked alongside Graham on a number of projects in the past, and his experience both of the sector and the sales function is second to none. He is perfect for the role and ideally placed to help us drive the company forward whilst maintaining our core values.”

It is these core values that most inspire Graham as he takes up his new role, as he explains:

“Restfull Nights is a company that still believes in the personal approach to business; where relationships are built around quality of products and the standard of service available. The hospitality business is all about caring for your customer and I truly believe that Restfull Nights is the only manufacturer within the industry today that maintains this approach with a 100% focus on the customer.

“Restfull Nights will say ‘yes’ when larger brands say ‘no’ because the volumes or product types do not fit with their business model or they add complexity to their retail-focused businesses. Restfull Nights’ mission statement is that ‘quality doesn’t have to be expensive’ – but I would also add that you shouldn’t have to pay extra for customer service. It is this combination of commitment to service and flexibility that I find so inspiring, and these core values will remain central to the company’s future growth.”

DoubleTree by Hilton

Restful Nights supplied all of the beds and sofa beds to the double tree Hilton Chester for 219 rooms.

Steeped in 18th Century history, The DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel and Spa Chester, is now looking to the future as the work to add 79 new luxury bedrooms completes.

Managed by Valor Hospitality Europe, the hotel has undergone an extensive transformation to keep up with ever-increasing demand. The hotel’s popularity has soared in recent years and is a sought-after venue for wedding, spa and leisure breaks.

As well as the addition of the new bedrooms, the renovation works to the former 18th Century manor house also include the entrance, reception, lounge and lobby areas which have benefitted from makeovers, bringing contemporary design throughout the hotel.

With a total of 219 bedrooms now available, the DoubleTree by Hilton Chester is one of the leading leisure hotels in the area and is now able to respond to the growing demand for residential conferences, as well as overnight spa breaks.

The new bedroom design, led by Rethink Interiors, incorporates elements of the hotel’s rich past, having once been owned by revolutionary pioneer balloonist, Thomas Baldwin. Artwork in the bedrooms shows off the hotel’s history, also drawing on local scenes from around the city and the famous Chester Zoo which is less than 10 minutes away.

The first phase of the renovation programme completed at the end of 2016 and saw a brand-new restaurant open at the hotel. The Garden Room and Terrace specialises in dishes that use the very best British ingredients wherever possible, taking diners on a unique journey as they follow the provenance of the suppliers, from land, sea and garden, while taking in the views out over the original walled garden and historic gardens.

The White Horse, Dorking, part of the Bespoke Hotel group, is set to reopen later this month, following an extensive refurbishment.

The 56-key property closed its doors in July 2017 to allow for the extensive £4 million renovation to take place. Changes were made throughout the public spaces, as well as to the restaurant and bar, whose menu and décor has been transformed.

The interior design overseen by award-winning Squid Inc, who recently worked alongside Bespoke on the opening of Manchester’s award-winning Hotel Gotham in 2015. The furnishings celebrate the building’s unique role in Dorking’s history, having once played host to Charles Dickens. Dickens took up residence at the White Horse while writing the Pickwick Papers in the mid-19th century.

The White Horse will feature extensive dining facilities as well as a versatile meeting space for private gatherings, parties, and business functions known as “1812”. The restaurant and bar facility known as “The Dozen” has capacity for up to 100 diners and serves a menu of both traditional British and modern European cuisine.

Formed in 2000, Bespoke Hotels now represents over 200 properties worldwide. It is the UK’s Largest Independent Hotel Group.
